PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
Erdal Kinaci, more than a friend, a beloved companion, a brother to us, served his country and its people as a physician for many years proudly represented his country as a renowned photographer with many photographs rewarded in prestigious competitions. Although he was arrested and his case has not yet been resolved, he became the victim of false accusations made by the media that a man of his undoubted intellectual and artistic class certainly deserves ever, leaving us in a deep sadness. Contrary to what has been claimed by the media, Erdal Kinaci has been in photography for 25 years, crowned by more than 40 national awards for his photographs. In addition, the National Geographic Magazine Kinaci awarded first prize in the category World "man" in 2006. The following year, Kinaci won first prize at the "photo-reportage" category in a national competition organized by the National Geographic Magazine. His photograph was well appreciated and that `lepasy abroad. His photographs have been published in various journals and set a personal and joint exhibitions. In order to raise awareness and prepare the agenda for people with disabilities, Erdal Kinaci has created a special project, "Photography for a well-Abled life", which was exposed to Ankara, Izmir and Aydin in 2007 and displayed in different cities in Turkey. His project has undoubtedly worked its will and inspired many other projects and charitable organizations to initiate the sequence of events to reach a well-valid life for everyone. A considerable amount of aid in kind charitatives organizations and NGOs from Turkey and abroad could be made to the disabled persons in need with whom Erdal Kinaci has always felt privileged to share the same hometown. One of his latest projects, Gir Gec Pansiyonlar (free entry pensions) to attract attention to the plight of prostitutes working in houses in question. We, his friends and fellow photographer, trust the judicial system and laws of the Turkish Republic. We have a deep belief in the fairness of the decree of court. Hence, we invite the Turkish media to handle the issue in a more sensitive manner until the legal procedures have been completed.
